Diabetes
What is diabetes?
People who have diabetes have a high rate of metabolic diseases where it can usually effect the blood sugar levels causing to increase the concentration as well as the blood sugar level. This can be due to many causes such as the body's insulin is not effective enough due to the reduction of insulin amounts in the body because of living a lazy and sedentary lifestyle.
There are two types of diabetes listed:
Below will be an explanation of each type and how it effects the human body systems.
Type 1
It is the case where insulin is not produces at all. That is really serious because insulin is used to reduce the concentration of blood sugar levels in the body. There is a high chance where people can develop diabetes at age of 40 or in some worse cases in teenage years.
About 10% of diabetes is type according to research studies because it is the most serious cases of diabetes. This data can be shown above on the picture. About all patients going through this type of diabetes needs to inject or take insulin injections for their rest of their lives to control their sugar level. They must also record their blood sugar level in a journal or any medium that is useful to the patient so that they could monitor and go to regular check ups for analysis. Now that is for TYPE 1.
Type 2
It is when diabetes does not produce ENOUGH insulin for reducing sugar levels. It is not the case where it doesn't produce insulin it is just that it produces in less amounts. People are able to control this type of diabetes by losing weight, following a healthy diet, doing plenty of exercise, and monitoring their blood glucose levels. However if no precautions are taken it may gradually become worse. Obese and overweight people have a higher risk of developing this disease because they become less physically active in not producing insulin.
As we age we tend to also increase the risk of type 2 diabetes because when people age they tend to become inactive therefore it can result in diabetes like this.
