- Stress is an overwhelming feeling often linked with lack of control.
- Stress can have a serious effect on the immune system of your body.
- Stress releases powerful neurochemicals and hormones that prepare us for action (to fight or flee).
- Due to the weight of stress or the burden of stress we tend to think of stress as a negative experience, but from a positive point of view, stress can be a neutral, negative, or positive experience.
- Stress can be broken down into many types which are listed below.

- Relationship difficulties

- Being too busy

- Depression or general unhappiness
The physical symptoms are:
- Aches and pains
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Nausea, dizziness
- Chest pain, rapid heartbeat
- Frequent colds
The Behavioral symptoms are:
- Eating more or less
- Sleeping too much or too little
- Isolating yourself from others
- Procrastinating or neglecting responsibilities
- Using alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs to relax
- Nervous habits (e.g. nail biting, pacing)
